May-N Leow from Southwark Council appointed to lead the future work of the Local Digital Collaboration Unit at the Ministry for Housing and Local Government.

This week on the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government Digital blog ‘One year of fixing the plumbing: the Local Digital Declaration,’ it was announced that the new Head of Local Digital Collaboration Unit is May-N Leow. Until recently the unit was led by Linda O’Halloran who together with the team launched the Local Digital Declaration last summer, which techUK were pleased to be co-publishers of.

Commenting on the appointment, Georgina Maratheftis, Head of Local Public Services at techUK, said:

“techUK is delighted to welcome May-N to this new role with her wealth of experiences from both central and local government. Her appointment is good news for both the local government and supplier community. In her role at Southwark Council, May-N has regularly engaged with techUK and wider supplier community and we were pleased to have her as a guest on our latest podcast ‘collaboration for local public services’ where she spoke about the importance of early market engagement.”

“We would like to congratulate May-N on her appointment. It really is an exciting time for local government transformation and techUK looks forward to working with May-N and the team on the next phase of delivering the ambition of the Local Digital Declaration.”
