Open Banking - public access websites for developers

News on where developers can get information on API standards.

Calling all API developers!! The first tranche of the Open Banking initiaitve will 'go live' in March this year. A number of public initiatives are now available for developers to get information on the latest version of API specifications. 

1. GitHub 

GitHub is a public site (no mda is required) that developers can access to get the latest public version of the following information:

The latest version of the data 1.2.4 was finalised last week and is now available.

 2. Open Banking webpage

The Open Banking website gives further details on the Open API standards and includes how to register interest, updates, links to GitHub etc. A specific developers page is here. 

3. The Nesta Challenge

The innovation challenge scheme, Nesta, is running an 'Open UP' challenge for the development of open banking APIs, which will deliver new services for small businesses in the UK which help them to discover, access and use bank accounts, loans and overdrafts.
