Open Europe considers that the election result poses more questions than answers

In one of its latest EU papers, Think Tank Open Europe comments that the DUP and Conservatives largely agree on shape of UK-EU deal, but election result poses more questions than answers.

A Conservative-led government will rely on the support of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). The two parties broadly see eye-to-eye on the key Brexit issues, which are customs union and single market withdrawal. But the DUP’s likely desire to avoid a ‘No deal’ scenario reduces the credibility of Theresa May’s ‘No deal better than bad deal’ stance. Overall, the Prime Minister’s hand in Brussels has been weakened.
