Great Britain’s mapping agency held more than 90 fundraising events to raise vital funds for the local charity's emergency and trauma unit appeal.

OS employees volunteered, sung and baked their way through two years of fundraising between April 2018 and March 2020.

Many events encompassed OS's #GetOutside ethos, such as participating in RED January and the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge.

OS raised £27,376.75 in total.

Larraine Hunt, Business Centre Executive and Charity Lead at OS, said: “We have had a brilliant partnership with Southampton Children's Hospital Charity over the last two years and not only did we hit our target, we exceeded it. It has been brilliant being able to see the purple assessment room that our money funded built from the ground up. OS employees were always so supportive and generous.”

The biggest fundraiser of 2018 was when OS Runners club took part in a 24-hour 10K relay race called Thunder Run. It raised over £3,000.

The most successful event in 2019 raised over £2,000 and was an interdepartmental competition.

Jeneen Thomsen, Interim Director and Head of Major Gifts at Southampton Hospitals Charity, said: "We’ve been fortunate to have OS as our corporate partner for the past two years and the enthusiasm and support they bring to Southampton Hospitals Charity is invaluable.

From taking part in 24hr relay runs, hosting quizzes and carols, to one of the executives having an arm plastered by a nurse, the team have always been committed to fundraising in spectacular ways.

"We’re thrilled that they have raised such a fantastic amount that will enable us to continue enhancing care in Southampton Hospitals."
