Procedure and Privileges Committee publishes First Report

The Committee has proposed a change to procedures for special public bill committees considering Law Commission bills.
This change would increase the maximum time available to such a committee for evidence-taking from 28 to 40 days.
The consequential amendment to the Companion is included within the report, to which the Committee seeks the agreement of the House.
