THE sound of music is set to return to Coventry as Arts Council England awards £1million to restore and improve an iconic city building.

Arts Council is delighted to confirm the plans to invest £1 million to develop city centre venue, Drapers’ Hall over the next three years.

The money was originally proposed by George Osborne, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, as part of the March 2016 statement. Arts Council England is the fund holder for this Treasury investment.

The Prince of Wales has also chosen Drapers’ Hall as one of seven projects to celebrate his 70th birthday following a nationwide competition.
