NEPO608 Safeguarding Adults Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews and Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews is used by the twelve North East local authorities to fulfil statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 and Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004.

Launched in 2019, the solution takes the form of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) which allows new providers to join at any time.

Providers interested in joining the DPS are encouraged to view the opportunity on the NEPO Portal to find out more and register interest. (A NEPO Portal account is required, registration is free of charge).

Newcastle City Council manage the DPS on behalf of NEPO; Becky Polito, Commissioning and Procurement Lead Specialist at Newcastle City Council yesterday said:

“NEPO608 was developed in consultation with providers and colleagues in both social care and procurement. The solution aims to support North East local authorities in identifying capable providers in a timely manner that offers value for money and required skillsets.

“The DPS currently features 19 active providers, and we are keen to welcome additional providers, both established and new market entrants, organisations and sole traders, to support these vital services.”

“The DPS has received interest from local authorities across the country. In addition to seeking additional providers who can support local authorities across the North East we are keen to welcome providers who can support our colleagues in North Yorkshire Council and Cardiff Council who are active participants in the solution.”
