Scottish Qualifications Authority publishes revised 2020 Attainment Statistics

The Scottish Qualifications Authority has published the revised results for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher courses for 2020.

These revised statistics follow the Ministerial Direction issued by the Deputy First Minister on Tuesday 11 August, directing SQA to change the 2020 approach to National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher certification and instead award candidate results based solely on the estimates provided by schools and colleges.

The results for candidates who were awarded a higher grade as a result of the initial moderation process have been retained. 
The revised A-C attainment rates for these courses are:

Schools, colleges and UCAS already have the amended results and candidates who have had grades changed will receive a new certificate on Tuesday 8 September.

A revised appeals process is also in place. The outcomes for priority appeals will be communicated to schools, colleges and UCAS by Friday 4 September. The deadline for other appeal requests to be submitted to SQA is Monday 7 September.

The Scottish Government will be publishing an Equalities Impact Assessment on this revised approach.
