Until 3 September

Following its display at the By Me William Shakespeare exhibition at Kings College, London and most recently at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Shakespeare’s will has returned to us at The National Archives. Don’t miss your chance to see it in our Keeper’s Gallery before 3 September, when this iconic document will be taken off public display.

To accompany the display is information on the work our conservation team undertook to prepare the will for its 400th anniversary, and a series of photographs from our collection depicting Shakespeare’s plays.

For more information on this and other displays, please see our Keeper’s Gallery page.

There will also be special talks by staff involved in recent research and conservation of the will on 25 August and 1 September, 2.30pm. These are free and all are welcome  – please meet outside the Keeper’s Gallery.
