Shared Learning Awards: Judges reveal 20 shortlisted entries to be displayed at NICE annual conference

More than 60 entries received from organisations across the country which highlight how they put NICE guidance into practice.

Transforming mental health care for children and young people with long-term conditions; getting frail patients to get up and dressed on a surgical ward; and a journey to make an NHS foundation trust smoke free are among projects shortlisted for this year’s NICE Shared Learning Awards.

Now in their 13th year, the NICE Shared Learning Awards provide the opportunity for NHS services, local authorities and other organisations to showcase innovative and effective examples of how they have implemented NICE guidance.

This year 20 projects have been shortlisted from more than 60 entries.

All of the shortlisted entries will present posters at the NICE conference in May, where three finalists will also take to the stage to share their work.

The competition winner will be announced at the NICE conference in Manchester.

Last year’s prize was scooped by East Berkshire Clinical Commissioning Group for their project to reduce incidence of urinary tract infections by promoting hydration in East Berkshire care homes.
