Since 2017, NEPO and TPPL have worked in partnership to meet the fleet requirements of the UK public sector. The partnership combines public sector insight with fleet procurement expertise, offering members a fully supported route to acquiring a wide range of vehicles.

In support of the public sector ambition to reduce its carbon footprint, the partnership is offering a £1,000 rebate to local authorities procuring brand new electric powertrain refuse collection vehicles (RCV) over 26 tonnes. The rebate will apply to orders placed between 1st March and 31st August 2021 using NEPO224 Heavy Goods Vehicles Acquisition.

Keith Lamb, Fleet Category Specialist at NEPO yesterday said:

“NEPO224 Heavy Goods Vehicles Acquisition is a multi-supplier framework agreement for public sector organisations to purchase or contract hire a range of vehicles. The solution also offers the opportunity to convert existing petrol or diesel vehicles to electric or hydrogen drivetrain technology.

“Over the past four years we have worked with TPPL to support hundreds of public sector organisations with their fleet requirements, and we are delighted to have identified an additional means of supporting them in their carbon reduction ambitions.”
