"It’s unsurprising that BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) people are still three times more likely to be stopped and searched by the police than White people when a commitment to address race inequalities is missing from the majority of Police and Crime Plans across England and Wales.

We therefore support the Young Review’s recommendation for these plans to set out how police forces will meet their legal duty to advance equality, and look forward to it bringing us one step closer to a fairer Britain."
