Doubling donations through UK Aid Match.

International Development Minister Baroness Sugg yesterday (8 July 2019) announced that the fourth round of UK Aid Match will open for applications on 20 August 2019. UK aid is committed to protecting and conserving the natural world, whilst lifting some of the world’s most vulnerable people out of poverty. The latest round of UK Aid Match will call on proposals from British charities with a climate and environment focus.

International Development Minister Baroness Sugg yesterday said:

“I am proud to announce the opening of the next round of UK Aid Match – the programme which gives the British public a say in how the aid budget is spent. We continue to welcome applications from charities that help us achieve at least one of the Global Goals. In particular, we would love to see applications focused on addressing one of the most pressing issues of our time: climate.

“Our previous UK Aid Match appeals have already helped more than 200,000 children to go to primary school globally and provided pregnant women and mothers with nutritional support and antenatal care. There is no doubt that doubling the generous donations of the British public will strengthen our efforts to achieve the global goals and reduce the impact of climate change for those who are most at risk.”
