The Repeal Bill must pass Committee Stage – and all sides must compromise

As Parliament returns from recess, the Government's energy is again focused on its EU (Withdrawal) Bill. Open Europe's Anders Jay explains that all factions must cooperate to ensure that this vital piece of legislation survives Committee Stage.
290 Amendments to the Bill have been tabled since Second Reading – these will be considered during 64 hours of debate. And because this is a Constitutional Bill the committee stages will take place on the floor of the House of Commons, rather than in a dark room off a dusty corridor.
