The Technology Products & Associated Services OJEU is to be released to the market very shortly and the briefing outlined some exciting changes for the better.  What was evident, is that these changes are entirely based on customer and supplier feedback. One fundamental output from the discovery phase was the desire for customers to buy commodity based technology products and services as a single product solution via a single procurement process.

In addition, it was noted that the emphasis will be on appointing an optimal mix of suppliers who provide a high-quality service, and will do so via an agreement structure that enables the customer faster and more flexible; cost-effective buying options.  

Peter Kirwan – Technology Products and Services Director yesterday said:

The key themes that suppliers and customers sought information on during the briefing Q&A component centred around simplification - award, pricing and quality, MI and data availability, and clarification around Lot 4 (information assured hardware & software CTB Services and operational services).
