Third cannabis factory in a fortnight seized by Organised Crime Partnership

Two men have been arrested and a cannabis grow worth approximately £75,000 seized as part of an investigation led by the joint National Crime Agency and Police Scotland Organised Crime Partnership.

A 24-year-old man was arrested after officers raided an address in Barrhead recently (5 May). Inside the residential property search teams found around 120 plants across two floors.

A second man, aged 28, was arrested recently (6 May) in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow in connection with the investigation.

Both remain in custody.

OCP Scotland have now taken out three cannabis factories and made six arrests in the last two weeks.

Detective Sergeant Gordon Constable recently said:

Serious and organised crime has no place in our society and we remain committed to disrupting this and any other criminal activity which impacts on people’s lives and our communities.”
