UK condemns attack on EU delegation in Yemen

Hugh Robertson condemns attack on EU Delegation convoy and offers condolences to families of those killed in recent offensive against al Qaeda. 

Minister for the Middle East Hugh Robertson said:

I offer my condolences to the families and colleagues of those killed and injured from the EU Delegation, when one of their vehicles was attacked in Sana’a on Sunday. Our thoughts are with them.

I condemn all such violent attacks, and the UK will continue our work to secure a peaceful future for all Yemenis.

Our thoughts are also with the families and colleagues of those in the Yemeni Security Forces who have been killed or injured during the current offensive against Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
