UK tech businesses reveal growth trends in KPMG's quarterly survey.
Yesterday, KPMG released a report on its latest KPMG/Markit Tech Monitor UK survey. Surveyed UK tech businesses indicated that:
- UK tech businesses grew at the slowest rate since mid-2013 due to uncertainty and delays with clients' decision making ahead of the general election
- UK tech sector employment has expanded by almost one-quarter since 2010, which is around three times the pace of the overall UK jobs market. Over two-fifths of the survey panel anticipated an increase in hiring over the year.
The report estimates that the UK tech sector now directly accounts for at least one million jobs. This quarterly report tracks the performance, confidence and employment outlook of UK technology businesses. For more information, view the full Tech Monitor report.
