UK-China summit: Global Economy Roundtable

A summary of the issues discussed at the Global
Economy Roundtable held at 10 Downing Street yesterday (17 June
2014).

Number 10 spokesperson said:
The
Prime Minister, Premier Li and Chancellor met the heads of international
financial institutions this afternoon as part of the UK China Summit. They
discussed the challenges facing the global economy with Christine Lagarde
(IMF), Jim Kim (World Bank), Angel Gurria (OECD) and Mark Carney (in his role
as Financial Stability Board chairman).
The
Prime Minister highlighted the importance of promoting global free trade and
the benefits of transparency. They also discussed constraints on growth and how
to use the private sector to boost global investment.
