We have published a report providing an update on our work over the past 18 months to transition to new ways of working and delivering innovative procurement for Wales.

The report, called “Progress towards the development of a new procurement landscape in Wales”, outlines the work we have done in the past 18 months to transition into a new way of working meet the needs of our stakeholders.

The procurement review, which concluded in September 2018, demonstrated that our customers want us to support them in a different way, enabling procurement to drive up well-being in response to regional and local priorities. The First Minister also set out a series of procurement commitments in his Leadership Manifesto in late 2018 which cut across a number of policy areas.

We have worked hard with our stakeholders over the past 18 months to transition into a new way of working. Our new approaches also reflect the invaluable stakeholder feedback that was provided during the review, which has really helped shape the programme, helping us ensure it is fit for purpose and meets their needs.
