Update on the Law Commission’s current work

An update on the latest work of the Law Commission has been published providing information about the legal body to interested groups.

The concise 36-page document provides an overview of all of the current law reform work or projects with firm plans to start.

It sets out the need for law reform in an area, summaries the potential benefits of reform, and gives a timetable of when the work will be completed.

The Work of the Law Commission publication incorporates:

13th Programme of Law Reform topics which have either commenced or where there are firm plans in place to do so
ongoing work arising from previous Programmes of Law Reform
all ongoing Ministerial references received from Government
new Ministerial references due to commence
