​NEPO appoints Corona Energy to supply £84m gas supply contract

NEPO has appointed Corona Energy as the sole supplier of its new Gas Framework Agreement. Valued at £84m over its initial four-year term, NEPO302 Gas will be used by North East local authorities, as well as the wider UK public sector via NEPO’s associate membership scheme. 

The contract will commence from 1 April 2020 and includes provisions to help public sector organisations reduce gas consumption and promote energy efficiency. 

In addition, Corona Energy has committed to delivering social value benefits valued at over £120k, comprising school engagement programmes, apprenticeship placements, employment initiatives and support for local community projects.
