NEPO has raised £4,181 for Team Evie, its nominated charity for 2018.

Over the course of the year, the NEPO team held a number of fundraising events such as undertaking the 3 Lakes Challenge, hosting a Colours fundraising fashion show, participating in the Great North Run, as well as regular bake sales and dress down days.

Team Evie was set up in memory of Evie Johnston who spent most of her short life in hospital and inspired everyone with her charming personality and bravery.

The charity helps sick children and their families who face similar circumstances to those faced by Evie. Their work covers a range of support such as transportation to hospitals, providing Children’s Wards and Baby Units with sensory and physiotherapy equipment, supplying medical equipment to families caring for children in their homes, offering bereavement support to families – and much more.

Nicola Shelley, Associate Director of NEPO yesterday said:

“Team Evie is a wonderful charity that makes a real difference to the lives of many sick children and their families; we are proud to have raised funds to support their amazing work.

“On behalf of everyone at NEPO, I would like to thank friends and colleagues for their generous support over 2018. Thanks also to NEPO’s contracted suppliers who have shown great generosity throughout the year, including Albany for donating play mats to the RVI Children’s Ward, and Prepaid Financial Services (PFS) for their generous donation to our 3 Lakes Challenge.”

Greg Johnston, Chief Executive at Team Evie added:

“Team Evie would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at NEPO for their support over 2018. The money raised will help us to bring comfort and practical support to many sick children and their families. Special thanks also to the NEPO team for being the (slightly soggy) guinea pigs for our 3 Lakes Challenge, enabling us to kickstart this exciting new event in 2019. The enthusiasm and positivity of everyone at NEPO about our charity has meant a great deal to us over the year, and we will miss them all in 2019!”
