DEFRA: A huge majority of England’s bathing waters continue to meet rigorous quality standards, with nearly 80% of England’s bathing waters meeting the tightest guideline standards.
EA: A new league table that ranks many of the UK’s high-street names according to how they manage their energy use has been published by the Environment Agency.
TUC: Youth unemployment has increased in 97% of local authority areas in the UK in the last 12 months, according to a TUC analysis published recently, ahead of the latest official unemployment statistics out on 16 November 2011..
Ofsted: Ofsted has published the outcomes of the 2011 annual children’s services assessments for local authorities across England. It shows that the majority of authorities are providing good or better children’s services, with 28 authorities providing excellent services for children in their area, 8 more than last year.
DEFRA: The annual results for waste collected & managed by local authorities in England and the regions between the financial years between 2009/10 & 2010/11 have been published. 41.2% of household waste in England was sent for recycling between April 2010 and March 2011, increasing from 39.7% the previous year.
