MoD: Smart materials to extend the life of a vehicle or textiles which incorporate electronics are among the ideas being sought by the Ministry of Defence. The Materials & Structures Science and Technology Centre (MAST STC), established by the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (Dstl), has launched a call for research proposals in this area. It places a high priority on the impact that novel materials and technologies can have on defence.
The call for proposals will close on Friday 12 April 2013 at 5:00pm. All proposals must be submitted via the CDE online portal. This call will also be supported by a web seminar on Thursday 14 March 2013.
DECC: Latest winners of Offshore Wind Component Technologies Development and Demonstration scheme have been announced, together with a further £4m fourth call opening to applications.
