Civil Service Quarterly launched
Civil Service Quarterly opens up the Civil Service to greater collaboration and challenge, showcases excellence and invites discussion.
Yesterday the Minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, the Minister for Government Policy, Oliver Letwin, and the Cabinet Secretary, Jeremy Heywood launched Civil Service Quarterly (CSQ) - a new publication that gives civil servants the opportunity to write about the work they do and share their expertise.
In the first edition you can read about design techniques used in GOV.UK, world-leading diplomacy at the UN, innovation in policy making in the Department for Education and a customer service culture at HMRC, data sharing between the Department for Work and Pensions and the Ministry of Justice to improve offenders’ lives, reflections from the Behavioural Insights Team on how “nudges” can be used to promote charitable giving, work on reducing the risks of disasters from the Government Office for Science and economic insight from the Treasury.
CSQ opens up the Civil Service to greater collaboration and challenge, showcases excellence and invites discussion. Anyone can comment on the first edition and articles through the CSQ blog on GOV.UK.
Francis Maude said:

The publication we are piloting today marks another step towards opening up the Civil Service.
