Call to develop recipe database

The Food Standards Agency is inviting tenders for a project to develop an electronic recipe database for the FSA to use in dietary consumption and exposure assessments.

The FSA uses a recipe database (in dietary surveys) to help ensure that foods consumed as ingredients of other foods are accounted for in dietary exposure assessments, as far as practicable and where appropriate.

The current database was developed more than 10 years ago and has evolved on an ad-hoc basis as new foods have become available. We now wish to commission a project for the development of a new, user friendly and robust database.

How to apply

Applications should be submitted online using our electronic procurement system by 30 March 2012. To find out more about this call for tenders, you will need to register as a supplier on the FSA’s electronic tendering system, ePPS, via the link below.
