CONVICTION OF MR JOHN DUGGAN TO COURT OF APPEAL

Mr John William Patrick Duggan to the Court of Appeal with a view to determining whether the conviction should have been for manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.

Mr Duggan was convicted at Nottingham Crown Court on 3 December 1984 of the murder of Mrs Dorothy Danforth. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Mr Duggan's application for leave to appeal against conviction was refused by the Court of Appeal on 17 June 1986.

He applied to the Criminal Cases Review Commission on 17 May 1997 for a review of his conviction.
