CHANGE OF AMBASSADOR AT BERNE AND LIECHTENSTEIN
Basil Eastwood has been appointed Her Majesty''s Ambassador to the
Swiss Confederation and additionally Her Majesty''s Ambassador
(non-resident) to the Principality of Liechtenstein in succession to
Christopher Hulse who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service.
Mr Eastwood will take up his new appointment in August 2001.

David Landsman has been appointed Her Majesty''s Ambassador to the
Republic of Albania in succession to Peter January who will be
transferring to a new Diplomatic Service appointment. Dr Landsman
will take up his new appointment in July 2001
