Richard Ralph CVO, CMG has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Lima in succession to Roger Hart CMG who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service. Mr Ralph will take up his appointment in May 2003.

Anthony Layden has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in succession to Richard Dalton who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Layden will take up his appointment in October 2002.
