CHANGE OF AMBASSADOR TO THE SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC

Peter Ford has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Damascus in succession to Mr Henry Hogger who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Ford will take up his appointment in September 2003.
