£2.4 million in Lottery cash for Merseyside good causes

The Big Lottery Fund (BIG) is awarding £2.4 million to projects across Merseyside in its latest round of Reaching Communities awards.
Good causes sharing the cash include projects supporting people affected by cancer, disabled children, parents of young children, young carers, people recovering from addiction and children leaving care.
The money comes from BIG’s Reaching Communities programme which helps those most in need and builds stronger communities. A total of 25 awards are being made across the North West including projects in West Lancashire, Blackburn, Preston, Blackpool, Greater Manchester, Bolton, Burnley, South Lakeland and Cumbria.
