Alleged loan shark stripped of assets

The Serious Organised Crime Agency has been granted a Recovery Order in Belfast High Court against the assets of a County Antrim couple who allegedly traded as illegal money lenders.
In its civil recovery application, SOCA submitted that Raymond Trevor Murray and Sharon Murray from Carrickfergus in County Antrim had derived the majority of their assets through unlawful conduct namely; unlicensed money lending and money laundering.
On 12 February 2013 Raymond Trevor Murray and Sharon Murray agreed to settle SOCA's civil recovery claim by handing over assets including:

One house in County Antrim;

Monies held in two bank accounts;

Monies contained within an endowment policy;
The case was referred by the PSNI.
