Digital Housing Hub reaches 500 members

14 Jan 2013 12:34 PM

Recently, the Digital Housing Hub - the network where anyone with an interest in social housing and digital strategy - celebrated a major milestone, with the 500th member registering.

Faye Saville,  Communications Officer from Helena Partnership in Merseyside was the lucky 500th member, and she says:

“It’s exciting to have become the 500th member. The Digital Housing Hub will be an excellent resource for Helena, helping to support our plans to raise tenant awareness and change behaviours around digital inclusion. I’m really keen to start taking advantage of the materials and advice on offer, and check out the interactive facilities available to engage with colleagues in the housing sector.

“Tackling welfare benefit reform is a priority for Helena, the information provided around Universal Credit will definitely be of use and we’re really keen to share and provide best practice tips.”

Ben Brown from the Digital Housing Hub adds:
“There’s never  been a better time for businesses to think about their digital strategy.  2013 is going to be a big year for digital inclusion in the housing sector. Later this year tenants and residents will need to start claiming their benefits online, and so housing providers can no longer avoid the shift to digital.

Creating a digital strategy from scratch can be pretty daunting, but thankfully there are plenty of organisations out there who have been happy to share their expertise through the Digital Housing Hub. Anyone not signed up yet are really missing out!”

Membership is free, so if you working in the housing sector and want to talk to others about what they’re doing, then do register at
