HM The Queen has
appointed Elizabeth Carmel Gordon to be a District Judge on the
advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP.
The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice of England
and Wales has assigned her to the Northern Circuit, based at Wigan
County Court, with effect from Wednesday 24 March 2010. Mrs Gordon
will be working on a 60% pro rata basis.
HM The Queen has appointed Linda Anne Rand to be a District Judge
on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack
Straw MP. The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice
of England and Wales has assigned her to the South Eastern
Circuit, based at Milton Keynes County Court with effect from
Friday 26 March 2010.
Notes to Editors
Mrs Gordon is aged 38 and she was admitted as a Solicitor in 1998.
Ms Rand is aged 53. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986 and
was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1994.
