HM The Queen has
appointed Huw Bodfan Jenkins to be a District Judge (Magistrates’
Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable
Jack Straw MP. The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief
Justice of England and Wales has assigned him to the Wales
Circuit, based at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, with effect from
Monday 19 April 2010.

Huw Bodfan Jenkins, aged 60, will be known officially as District
Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Jenkins, but he wishes to be referred
to locally as DJ(MC) Bodfan Jenkins. He was admitted as a
Solicitor in 1976 and was appointed as a Deputy District Judge
(Magistrates’ Courts) in 2000.
