Issued by the News
Distribution Service on behalf of The Hutton Review of Fair Pay
The Hutton Review of Fair Pay in the Public Sector, announced
by the Chancellor in June, today issued a call for evidence,
inviting views from all interested parties on issues around
fairness in pay.
Announcing the call for evidence, Will Hutton
said:
"Ahead of my interim report in
the autumn, I will be developing a definition of fair pay and
exploring the benefits of fairness in pay and in the processes by
which pay is determined. I will be examining the evidence on pay
dispersion in both public and private sectors, and the
relationships between the two. I would like to invite the evidence
and views of experts and interested parties as I do this."
The call for evidence is posted on the Fair Pay Review page
on the HM Treasury website http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/indreview_willhutton_fairpay.htm
and the deadline for responses is 6 September 2010.
