Get a community development qualification

14 Nov 2012 11:19 AM

Do you work in the community? Would you like to get new skills, ideas and tools to help you do more of what you do best? The Level 3 Community Development Award could be for you.

It’s a nationally recognised qualification (accredited by the National Open College Network) that could give your projects a boost, and give you an edge with funders and employers. The course includes face to face events, webinars, online learning, phone call reviews and conference calls to ensure you get a thorough understanding of the material.

Lisa Darkin, from Shropshire Rural Community Council, is a current Community Development student. She says “What’s been great is actually sitting down and thinking about the approach I take to working in the community and evaluating it. I’ve really enjoyed hearing how others on the course approach their work and have definitely incorporated new ideas into what I do”.

If you’re involved in community work as a project manager, community activist or volunteer - this award is relevant to you. Get more skills to do more for your community -
