Help for young people at risk of domestic violence

A new project in Greenwich will work with young people to help reduce their personal risk of harm through domestic violence. It is one of twelve projects across the capital sharing in close to £3 million from Big Lottery Fund.

Amongst those who will also benefit from yesterday’s Reaching Communities funding are women and children affected by domestic abuse across London, vulnerable adults with mental health issues in Lambeth,  and also families with autistic children.

Her Centre in Greenwich is joining forces with Little Fish and TRYangle to help around 1,200 young people each year who are at risk of or subject to domestic violence. The three organisations will work towards engaging young people to understand boundaries in healthy relationships, work with perpetrators and support other professionals working in this area. The project receives £458,412 from the Fund.
