The Independent
Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has named the pedestrian who
died after being hit by a police vehicle in Bromley, south-east
London, on Saturday (23 August) as Sandra Simpson.
Sandra Simpson (known to family and friends as Sandy), a local
resident aged 61, was hit by a marked police vehicle in Homesdale
Road near the junction with Gundulph Road, Bromley. She was
pronounced dead at the scene.
IPCC investigators attended the scene on the night of the

system shows that the vehicle was travelling with its blue lights
and sirens on at the time of the collision. The IPCC's
investigation will look at the actions and deployment of the
officer during this time.
IPCC investigators have been carrying house to house enquires today.
A post-mortem, attended by an IPCC investigator, was carried out
