The health sector regulator, Monitor has closed an investigation into Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust after the trust fixed the issues that caused patients to wait more than 18 weeks for treatment.
Monitor launched its investigation in July to understand the delay in reducing the backlog of patients waiting for treatment.
However, after reviewing the evidence, Monitor has decided that the trust has fixed these issues and therefore will not be taking any further action against the trust.
Adam Cayley, Regional Director at Monitor said: "We welcome the fact that patients no longer have lengthy waits for treatment.
"The trust has a strong reputation for providing good quality of care to its patients. We can now close our investigation and the trust will go back to being regulated using our normal regime."
