Hi

New Diabetes UK information leaflets available

23 Jul 2012 10:50 AM

We have produced two new information leaflets for people recently diagnosed with diabetes, and those at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

Both of the new leaflets are designed to give straightforward and reliable information, and tell you where to get help and support when you need it.

Are You At Risk of Type 2 Diabetes?

Are You at Risk of Type 2 Diabetes? gives information about the signs and symptoms which might suggest that you have Type 2 diabetes. It also tells you about your risk of developing the condition and how you can avoid it. There are 7 million people in the UK who are at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. You can reduce your risk by following the simple advice given in this leaflet.

Just Diagnosed with Diabetes?

Being told you have diabetes can be overwhelming – Just Diagnosed with Diabetes? gives you the information you need right now, and tells you what to do next. It gives an introduction to both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as details of where to find more information and support.

The right information at the right time

We are currently looking at all of the information we produce, and how we can ensure that we provide everyone affected by diabetes with the right information at the right time. Over the coming months you may notice that some of our publications change as we try and achieve this.

We plan to run down old stocks, and gradually replace them with new ones where relevant. Rest assured that all of our information is still here, and we’ll continue to make sure that it’s easy to access. In fact, our aim is to make it even easier for you to get the information that you need from us.
