<h2>Hi</h2>

New social care cap is too high, says TUC

12 Feb 2013 10:39 AM
Responding to yesterday's announcement on elderly care, which will see social care bills capped at £75,000, TUC General Secretary Frances O'Grady said:

This review of social care is long overdue and we are pleased that the government is beginning to implement at least some of Andrew Dilnot's proposals.

'However, the proposed cap of £75,000 is far too high and will be unaffordable for many families.

'The TUC's preference remains for a social care system that is provided free for all those who need it.'
