The Francis report – briefing for members
8 Feb 2013 02:48 PM
Following publication of the final report of the public inquiry into Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, the NHS Confederation has produced a briefing for members summarising the main points and recommendations and setting out our initial analysis.
Supporting members
Our briefing provides a summary of the report's key findings and recommendations, our viewpoint and initial analysis.
More detailed analysis and comment will follow, which will build on a systematic programme of member engagement over the coming months.
Member seminars
To help members better understand the findings and implications of the report, we are holding three member events in March. Join colleagues from across the system to explore the issues and meet the NHS Confederation's chief executive, Mike Farrar, and senior directors to give your feedback on the recommendations. Secure your place.
Following the seminars, we will be producing a detailed response which takes full account of our members' concerns.
Learning from Europe
Join a free seminar on 14 February in London to uncover what lessons we can learn from health systems in Europe. Chaired by Peter Homa, adviser to Robert Francis and chief executive of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, the seminar will explore assuring quality through regulation. Find out more and book your place.
