We advise against all travel to southern suburbs of Beirut west of the airport road

On 19 February 2014, there were 2 explosions in the Bir Hassan area in the southern suburbs of Beirut which targeted the Iranian Cultural Center. At least 8 people were killed and over 120 injured. The FCO now advise against all travel to southern suburbs of Beirut west of the airport road. Read more: Lebanon Travel Advice
