Update: Agency Nursing and Social Care Workers framework

Following stakeholder and supplier engagement sessions we are almost ready to publish our OJEU notice for Agency Nursing and Social Care Workers. We anticipate this will be published in early November 2012 and in advance of this we would like to provide an insight into our strategic approach and lot structure.

As the name suggests the scope of this framework has been broadened to include home care, residential and day care and social workers. Full details of the job profiles this framework will cover can be found on the NHS Employers website under sub headers nursing, midwifery and personal social services.  

Following mixed feedback on the question of a managed service we have decided to include a neutral vender lot to provide the option of a managed service to our customers. However the option of a direct relationship with the supplier will also be retained via lots 2-5.
