Waitrose recalls custard

Waitrose has recalled one date code of its fresh vanilla custard because it might be contaminated with pieces of green rubber.

The Agency has issued a Product Withdrawal Information Notice.

Product information

The recalled product is:

  • Waitrose Fresh Vanilla Custard (500g)
  • Use by: 12 March 2011

Waitrose is recalling the affected custard from consumers and will be displaying notices in stores, explaining to customers the reason for recall.

No other Waitrose products are known to be affected.

If you have bought the affected custard you can return it to Waitrose for a full refund. For more information contact Waitrose customer services on tel: 0800 188 884.
