Our Approach
King Associates can either work with your Human Resources Department acting as a sounding board/additional advisory resource for your HR representative, particularly where senior level experience may not be available in-house. Or, if you do not have an in-house specialist, we can provide practical and pragmatic advice for Chief Executives/Finance Directors or whoever is responsible for your HR function. Experience and informed help and advice are available when you need them - without the need for a fixed overhead on your payroll. Another useful function is to give a practical and unbiased second opinion on difficult 'people' issues. However simple the task at hand, meticulous attention to detail is a hallmark of all we do.
Our areas of expertise cover advising on day to day HR problems and employment law issues; Mediation; Policies and Procedures; Contracts of Employment; Redundancies; TUPE; Dismissals; Grievance and Disciplinary Appeals; Organisational Reviews; Change Management; Career Coaching; Retirement Coaching; Executive Coaching; Chief Executive and HR Mentoring; Business Coaching; Independent Investigations into Bullying and Harassment; Sexual Harassment; Disciplinary/Grievance issues and Human Resource Audits. Experience also covers working on tender submissions within the charity sector.
Gill's extensive network of professional contacts mean that if she cannot provide the expertise you need, she is likely to be able to recommend someone who can.
In summary, our aim is to develop a long term relationship with you and to work alongside you in meeting the Human Resource challenges which you will inevitably face from time to time. We are committed to transferring our skills to your organisation and to providing documentation and systems that you will find supportive and easy to work with. This makes good business sense by allowing you to concentrate on your own areas of expertise. It also provides peace of mind, knowing that your HR foundations are securely in place and help is at hand if you need it. Why not phone or email for a no obligation discussion about a specific HR requirement or your HR needs in general?

Coaching & Mentoring Services
Coaching is now accepted as an integral part of an organisation’s Training & Development programme.
Whilst many Managers would see themselves as coaches to their teams, the dedicated ‘one to one’ relationship that exists between a Coach and the person they are working with is very special.
Coaching is most fruitful when the Coach has an external perspective to contribute ‘seeing the wood for the trees’ and the employee is not inhibited by the existing ‘boss/subordinate relationship’ and the knowledge that his/her manager has some say and control in his/her future at work.
Coaching can provide an excellent return on investment both as a retention tool and a morale booster/re-motivator for staff who may not have realised that they are valued.

Retirement Coaching
With the baby boomer generation now retiring and people living longer, retirement is now ’a new beginning, not an ending’. Employees should be enjoying, not dreading this new phase in their lives. Retirement Coaching is there to aid the transition from work and can be a valuable employee benefit. It is very much an individual experience and for this reason, Retirement Coaching - whilst based on a statistically validated tool - the 15 Factor Retirement Success Profile – is usually delivered as an individual programme or part of a overall retirement preparation package. It can be adapted to meet the needs of each client.

Executive Mentoring
Mentoring can be effective for Chief Executives or Small Business Owners who can sometimes feel isolated and may wish to discuss a problem with someone outside their immediate management team or board - in this situation we can provide a confidential and unbiased perspective. Similarly feedback on personal management style and the learning to be gained from the handling of past scenarios
