G & Y Services was established in 1972. Our team of professional stocktakers have a wide experience in general stocktaking, business transfers and stock valuations within the retail, wholesale and industrial sectors of business, catering to any size or type, throughout the UK.

G & Y Services provide stocktakes & valuation services for a wide range of varied business sectors from newsagents, service station forecourts, garden centres, off licences, supermarkets, general stores, post offices, marinas and boat chandlers, pet shops, clothing shops, stationers, DIY stores to cycle shops, to mention just a few examples.

In the retail area, the bulk of our business is carried out in the smaller or family run company’s. Larger mutiples are also catered for as well as the ability to service national companies.

The reasons for stocktakes and valuations are varied, the most frequent is that of a change of ownership, or annually for year end accounts, probate, dissolution or for the set up of partnerships or a change in limited liability status, insurance valuation management, security checks, reports for banks or finance companies to support loans or overdrafts are possibly the most frequent.

Weekend or bank holiday work has the same fee as weekday work over the years.
