British Gas Launches Customer-Led Connected Home Series

‘Smart Street’ series showcases everyday benefits of the connected home and smarter living.

British Gas have launched a new online campaign – Smart Street – following three families as they live with a range of connected home technologies including smart washing machines, smart meters and TVs.

The series captures the family’s daily lives living with a range of smart technology demonstrating the possibilities and consumer benefits of the connected home and smart living, exploring how different families view the same technology.

Through a number of video diaries the series will provide a personal insight into how real people get to grips with the new technology, allowing viewers to really engage in how connected home technology can make everyday life smarter and easier.

techUK’s new Connected Home Working Group is exploring the connected home market, identifying the opportunities, issues and challenges in bringing smart home technology into consumer’s everyday lives.
